PhD in Law and Political Science from the University of Antioquia (undergraduate), Former Scholar of the Max Planck Society and the Alexander Von Humbolt Foundation in Germany; and Senior Researcher accredited by Colciencias. He currently works as a practicing lawyer, Director of the Department of Criminal Law, of the Specialization in Criminal Law and of the 'Emiro Sandoval Huertas' Criminal and Criminological Sciences Research Group of the Sergio Arboleda University; where he is also Co-Director of the Master of Laws, line of research in Criminal Procedure Law.
Author of various books and articles on the topics of his specialty; He has given more than 190 conferences at various national and foreign universities and is an active member of several Editorial Committees and Advisory Councils in national and international publications.
